Will add in July when I have some free time. Mid to late 80's & early 90's stuff that I have not yet seen on Youtube

  • All these years, I had no clue what Jake's voice sounded like until I saw this video.

  • Jake made a choice: continue to be told what to play by a guy who wouldn't

let you shine, or strike out on your own and play what YOU want.

I think Jake made the right choice. I respect him for it, and I still think he's an

    awesome guitarist.

  • badlands were just an awesome band they were like a beefed up american version of led zeppelin on fire....

  • i met them all in 1991 i think it was after the show in bristol uk ray gillan was a lovely guy, r.i.p Jake gave me a pick i still have it today....

  • Just to think that Ray was hiv positive in this interview.

  • Jake is an awesome guitarist, one of my favorite players. But I have to also say that Ray was an outstanding vocalist. What a great vocalist. Deeply missed.

  • @SoreEyeMusic Badlands didn't "fail". Ray passed on RIP RAY... Badlands was just breaking out into the mainstream when they were cut short. I saw them play twice, and the power of that band, with Ray's voice and Jake's playing was amazing.

  • R.I.P. Ray

  • jake seems quite shy

  • Jake had a nice voice :)

  • i was there
