Not even close.
Origin is from Andalucia.
Why on earth everything should be Ottoman and Turkish I really can't get it.
just my 2 kuruş.

Not to knock Fairuz, but it was probably composed 500 years before she was born. "Original" I don't think.

Lovely! Lama Bada is one of my prefered arab songs - ok, andalusian muwashaha - and I enjoy very much to hear it played by an classic orchestra as well as versions like Lena Chamayman or other modern. But surely an orchestra brings a wonderfull cultural value to it. Thanks for posting this video!

Beautiful andalousian song. But how come they have a shisha on stage???? lolllll
Anyway, one of the best versions is sung here.

You are right, Honestathiest, the poem -- «Lammâ badâ yatathannâ» (When she began to stride with a proud step) -- is an Andalusian mu-wa-shsha-ha (although I couldnt find the name of the poet), but this musical composition belongs to the repertoire of Fairûz. They are other musical compositions as well, but I like this one.

I believe it is from the Andalousian Mouwashahat.
The player is Sofiane Negra
