Beep For Peace - Chapeltown Community Peace Walk

This is a Peace Walk, for people concerned about the disturbances involving some of our young people in the Chapeltown area of Leeds. It is a show of solidarity between residents, business owners, community workers & leaders, people of faith, young and old people, which will highlight the fact that "We live here too!" and that any acts of violence & vandalism do not represent our community. We also want to show the young people involved in the disturbances that there are alternatives to the way they have demonstrated their frustrations so far and remind parents that WE ALL have a responsibility to know where our children are. We have chosen this time, to show commuters coming through Chapeltown that it's residents are peaceful and that they care about the community.
