Some of the more than 80 tribal canoes come ashore at the Lummi Nation (near Bellingham, Washington), welcomed by thousands on July 30, 2007. The annual tribal canoe journey draws canoe families from indigenous nations around the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. Many of these canoes were from the "southern group" (mainly Puget Sound and Hood Canal area). More information at http://www.paddletolummi.com [Video by Zoltan Grossman.]
