@fireworkandsuch haha I know. I've actually been there before and it was great. I was just making a joke

@CoreyL11 its actually a very nice place to surf/body board... concidered a begginer level beach when weather is permitting.... went there today in fact :)

i just don't really find a place called "Cape Disappointment" all that of an appealing place to surf...

wanna see heavy seas? Go to the East Yorkshire coast, UK when the wind blows off the North Sea.....

@MadelineWoe actually the surf wasn't so bad on that storm since it came out of the Northeast instead of the usual SW. It was still stirred up but the waves didn't stack up so high.

You're right, but A lot of beginners do surf there when there isn't a storm. During a storm when the waves are the largest, there is usually a lot of debris in the water not to mention the chance of being carried up on the rocks by large waves.

I was down there on the 24th and 25th and again got some pretty good video. The waves didn't seem quite as large as when I was there last November but it sure was worth it being there. Love these Washington storms!!

great video love the spooky winter surf! I wonder if anyone caught the one on like 2 days before Thanksgiving when the winds were like 100mph?

Excellent vid. I was out there on a lark and forgot my camera.

I had to leave about an hour before high tide so I don't know how much larger the waves might have gotten. Thanks for viewing the video. Joe
