  • Actually, what he said was "Poo Alert."

The toilets had just backed up into the Replicator and transporter systems and Neelix's unfortunate bout with Kazon dysentery was materializing all over the damn ship.

  • if i were janeway, i would have smacked chakotay on the head and said "ur never driving my ship again, get off my bridge"

  • I don't know what you guys were watching, but to me it's clear he landed it smoothly. The landing struts didn't bottom out or anything what the heck guys?

  • @TheToddy30 I figure either the weight of the ship's engines keeps it from tipping forward OR the saucer's underside has some antigravity generators that balance the ship by pushing away from the surface. It's probably antigravity. I mean, if it's so stable as to never go out when life support fails, why not use it to balance the ship when it lands?

  • Chakotay just landed the ship. How come Janeway takes the helm? They're not going anywhere.

  • Please someone tell me how the hell it balances on those tiny legs? Why doesnt the ship just topple over onto the front? It s top heavy!

  • @duncan343 I didn't mean to say that he was a bad pilot, just that it was a rather rough landing after Janeway says to "let us down easy".

  • @TheLordofError He couldn't help it..... there was very little power left to control the ship properly

  • @TorKelRa They did have the idea, they just didn't have the budget. Originally, the saucer section was to separate and land on a planet each episode. It would have been too expensive to pull off, the special effects might have looked bad, and it would have slowed down the story. Consequently, the transporter room was born.

  • @Frost3784 Because they didn't have the idea in TOS, and only introduced in TNG in the movie, where other races had ships capable of Planetfall, might be a good idea for Fed's

  • @Frost3784 Actually nope, the Feds had only begun putting such systems in newer vessels, the Galaxy class could land the saucer in an emergency, the Defiant, Intrepid and Nova Classes were the only one specifically built to be able to land on a planet safely, though other races had ships that could

  • @TorKelRa Why does it have to be "newer" ships? I'd just assume any of the smaller ships can land.
