The KaBar Dozier is a great knife, especially for the price, at $20-35!!!

Great all around knife, designed by custom knife maker Bob Dozier, its light weight and made by a great company with a long history: KaBar.

Blade has a great drop point, very suitable for many locations that have restrictions on tip design. The handle features great checkering molded into the Zytel Handle, for terrific slip resistance and traction.

Makes a great all around EDC or utility blade, and for the price, you dont really have to worry about using it to hard or rough, if you loose it or something happens, you can buy another one!

The Lock release for the lockback is far enough from the pivot point to make it easy to release, while still comfortable, but it may take a little bit to get used to. Solid lock up, with zero blade play in any direction, and no lock fails in my tests.

Overall a great knife for anyone, especially those on a budget!

  • Would you consider the Dozier large better than the Byrd Cara Cara ?

  • @CutleryNovice Both are good knives, pretty much just personal preference or the "second kind of cool" factor.

  • hi bearr do you think this knife is good for camping i mean is it solid and does it hold an edge besides that i've heard a complaint with the screw that holds the locking bar does it really loosen up??? if you can pls do a cuttin test thank you for your time and effort

  • @knifeyaya Never had a problem. I have taken it hiking before, had no problems. Holds an edge as well as any AUS 8 will.

  • you said hardwell rockness instead of rockwell hardness lol!
