  • I got the same problem, but Bootcamp still works fine?

  • @matthew011029 yeah the hfs+ file system is more touchy. i actually installed windows xp when this did this before and it ran that way for a while then i reinstalled osx and it did this on the reboot

  • Try booting in single user by pressing Command and S.

  • @maskdguy already resolved the issue, it was the hard drive. had them tear it out and put in a 1tb. figured put in a lot of storage while i'm paying them $100/hr to work on it.

  • Ouch that sucks Lol

  • @willie498 i have a 1TB in it now, but unfortuantely it is a power saving one that they put in, and it takes about 10 seconds to spin up and open an application when coming back from sleep.

  • wow i saw something loading and i hit the power button to shut it off b/c i didnt know what it was and when i turn it back on it showed that the same sign but when i waited i didnt see the folder so i dont know what happened to mine can some1 explain to me?

  • Um don't know if this will help anyone. When I went to restore some things from my operating system disk you have to tell it to boot from the disk. So now the iMac only knows to boot from the CD. Even if you shut it down and start it back up it still doesn't know. Pretty sure the Flashing "?" folder is the iMac asking which account or disk to boot from. Hold alt after restart, it will bring up a disk selection. Choose the disk you want it to boot from now on i.e. (OS X, Bootcamp) etc.

  • Thanks man, now I know what is wrong with mine... :-(

  • I have the same problem. Do you know how to fix it?

  • @KingofComputing At this video, that error sign means error loading mach_kernel or drivers not found.

  • i have never seen that before. good vid though
