I don't really use brushes as a traditional drummer would in this video, but I like to get a good "work-out" using them. It makes you conscious of your posture, and how to use your wrists, hands and fingers properly. It has also taught me light, delicate touch on the drumkit, and how to get different sounds. I used some of the same ideas from my previous solo I posted, but the brushes force you to take a different approach. It's very hard to cover up mistakes, one wrong hit sticks out like a sore thumb! A must is to be aware of the different volumes of your drums and cymbals, learn how to match them in harmony with each other. I hope you enjoy the video, I had a lot of fun doing it!!
very nice...........
