Calendars are religious devices. Therefore, most calendar reforms have been religiously motivated. This video series, Modern Calendar Reforms, reveals recent attempts to change the calendar. This is important information for all who desire to honor Creator God by worshipping on the true seventh-day Sabbath of the Bible. Currently, there is a revived movement to reform the Gregorian calendar by 2012. If this calendar, The World Calendar, is legislated into place, it will alter the weekly cycle.

The Bible reveals that there will be a revival of primitive godliness and a reformation of true Sabbath keeping in the final generation. In correctly teaching, I declare that the ppl are not actually observing, they are merely following what is bein fed them. To observe one need only seek Yahweh and His virtue, with the eyes they have been given, the heavens atmosphere, for the moon reveals all that Yahweh appointed it to do. Study your Bibles and do not accept statements from history taken out of context. Please view the attached video to get a more balanced picture of this subject. Remember, "He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him" (Proverbs 18:13).

If God expected us to keep the Sabbath by observing the moon, and even enforced Sabbath violation with the death penalty, then He is obligated to make it clear to us what day we are to keep. He did this by saying, "six days shalt thou labor... and the seventh day is the Sabbath." There is no record in the Bible of any week lasting more than seven days, nor is there a record of God telling us to keep the Sabbath by observing the cycles of the moon, or a date of the month.

God created the Sabbath on the seventh day of this world's history. The writers of the Jewish Encyclopedia cannot be trusted. Why is there no record of a debate among the Jews on this subject. This would be a monumental change, and could not be accomplished without many standing against it, and there would be a record of the event. Also, why didn't God ever tell us that we should keep the Sabbath on a particular date of the month?

The only calendar change that matters in this discussion is a change that affected the way the Jewish people calculated the Sabbath. Where is there actual proof that the Jews abandoned lunar reckoning for a continuous 7-day cycle? I mean actual proof, not statements in the Jewish Encyclopedia where they claim they don't even know where the Sabbath came from. They state, "the origin of the Sabbath is uncertain." No, this is not true. The origin of the Sabbath is as certain as anything.
