Konstantin Rausch (Russian: Константин Викторович Рауш; born 15 March 1990 in Kozhevnikovo, Tomsk Oblast, Russian SFSR) is a Russian-born German footballer. He is a left back who has also played wingback. He plays for Hannover 96, where he signed his first professional contract after making his debut against Stuttgart on 30 March 2008 aged 18.
International youth teams
Rausch played for various German youth teams as a left full back or wing back, accumulating more than 30 appearances.[5] His biggest success was a bronze medal at the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup, where he started in every game except for one, which he missed following a red card.[6] After the tournament, he was awarded a Fritz Walter Medal in silver as the second most promising German football player of his age.

This is so cool. My last name is Rausch. I never heard of Konstantin until I came across him while searching my family history online. I know that my family came to the United States from Germany many years ago. Some of my grandparents still speak German. I wonder if I could be distantly related to him. Wish there was a way to find out for sure. Either way, it's awesome seeing my last name on the back of that jersey. Rausch all the way!
