As a young man looking forward in life with the woman of his dreams, naturally, starting a family has been on my mind everyday for years now. After such a beautiful video, I was honestly moved to tears like nothing I've ever seen. You're all beautiful and I cannot fully express how I feel right now. All I can say is thank you for being a great mother and a loving beautiful human being. I have new found faith in life. Thank you so much.
You are an inspiration ! Well done and congradulations ! My first (breech) was born via elective caesarean of which I was bullied into, in 2004. I've since had two successful home VBAC's, the one directly after the caesarean at 36 weeks I was told I'd give birth to a dead baby and IF I survived need a hysterectomy - None of which were true and I stuck to my guns and got what I wanted - A magical home birth. I am now Pregnant with Twins and again, fighting for what I want. I'm nearly 32 weeks. xx
Success in medical terms when referring to VBAC is simply referring to being able to have the baby vaginally after a prior cesarean. The other 25% typically end up having a repeat cesarean after a trial of labor, and their babies are delivered via cesarean without incident.
Also, for me, it was VERY important to know that I had someone trained on hand to handle any situations that arose. While I don't consider twins, or a breech B, to be a "complication," things can happen. I felt much safer having someone with me who had experience and training in maternity and neonatal resuscitation. After my birth, I had clotting and PPH, and my provider was well-prepared to handle these "emergencies" without even being rattled because she had done it so many times.
If I were a medical assistant with no training in maternity, I would not personally expose myself by attending her birth in a professional capacity. That is obviously outside of the scope of practice for a medical assistant. Many midwives will work out a payment plan if you contact them in advance, or (depending on the time of year) maybe she could use a tax refund or some other assistance. Also, depending on the status of licensed midwives in her state, some midwives take medicaid.
ACOG's own guidelines indicate that a breech baby B is not a contraindication for vaginal birth. A breech baby B is not a "complication" at all, and many, many moms give birth vaginally to twins with a breech baby B.
As a natural birthing mom myself, I applaud you on your not only your beautiful children, but your amazing homebirth and very inspiring story. God bless your family!
Your family is absolutely beautiful and blessed by God......God bless all five of you and the New additions....and the three and all....You did GREAT....God showed his love with your Gifts.
