@timrusti99 - I think you should replace the word 'you' with 'mainstream' in your second sentence and after the hyphen say its better to go off into the unknown than to go nowhere at all.

I *loved* your first album, but I didn't buy any after that. You first album was original and genius. Your subsequent albums sold less because you tried to emulate the 1st - wrong decision.
