tahnks for this i have vista on my laptop but the computers at my school have the vista capable sticker on them i thought that ment they ran vista programs on them so i would save say a document on a zip drive at home and it would not work so now i know what that means it just means u spent 650 dollars on a computer and even though it hasnt even been turned on its time to upgrade

My freand bought a laptop with the "Vista Capable" Sticker on it and Vista needs 512MB Ram to run and his laptop only had 420MB and when i did install Windows Vista on it it BSODed (On upgrade from XP) and when i did a clean install it was soo shit it may as had been a MS-Dos comuter whith how much you could do with it.

The symbol is no guarantee that you get Vista free, so you have to buy it.

my compaq presario v5000 had the same music when i first booted it up......no vista though....vista capable though

at skewl, we got 6 vista copatable laptops, we started too run office 2007, and now they r so slow.

Well, the performance of these school computers is so bad...
At my school I also wouldn't expect that the PCs were faster if you install Office 2007.
