Lesson 5 in my EagleCAD tutorial series. In this lesson we will finish our schematic by adding a couple of parts and prepare for starting on the board itself.

  • I think it is missing a junction when u connected the switch... in the C1

  • I'm pretty frustrated about some of the idiosyncrasies of Eagle. Like the group

move actions. I did find a slight shortcut. Group components with the Group tool and then the Move tool seems to auto select. Then hold CTRL and right click to drag-move the group of components. Works in Eagle 5.11.0 Professional.

  • Great many thank .

  • @rainbowsalads ....When I sort my grammar out, sheesh!!

  • @rainbowsalads what i meant to say , from what i understand , is there is no simulation with this software, so is it only size shape that matters when selecting these components and that you label them correctly so that when you make the pcb you will be able to solder it all together?

  • hello : )

when selecting through hole resistors and diodes , there are so many choices , is it just a good idea to look for size/pitch. ie 2.54mm, and then enter our own values.

  • Thanks for the wonderful tutorial series!

I have one small question: How do you add a title block?

  • Sir Jason thank you very much for this great and wonderful tutorial you posted here, it really helps newbies like me to fabricate our own pcb's. I thought i would never learn to use pcb software tools like this one because i tried others already but it was too complicated for me, especially without a video tutorial like yours. Again thank you very much, your one of the best things that happen on Youtube :)

  • Hi Jayson.

Very nice job with the Eagle Tutorials.

I am really learning this program.

    Thank You...

One thing, Can you please call out your part numbers better. If you ever do updated Tutorials again, could you use a fresh download please, it would make it that much easier to follow...

    Again Thanks for doing this....
