MEET ANTHONY RAY MARTINEZ

Anthony started dancing at the age of five, first training in popping with his aunt. As the years went by, he became obsessed with music and dance. At the age of fourteen, he started training in a new style of dance at the time, which is now known as krump. When he turned fifteen he auditioned for Alhambra all male. He began to learn choreography from many different choreographers such as Hai Tran, and Jawn Ha. He also trained in ballet for two years with his schools drill team. The following years he trained and danced along side David Lee, John Tieng, Jessi Hinestrosa, J. Nuygen, Jairo Cuevas, and Tyler Barry. Which are all the original founders of Griminals.
His senior year in High school him and John Tieng were captains of Alhambra all male and had a very successful year choreographing and collaborating with David Lee. Anthony also won first place at MDDTUSA for his solo division routine winning Mr. Dance USA.
After graduating high school, Anthony immediately auditioned for his dream team, Common Ground. Feeling blessed Anthony made the team and CG gave him the opportunity to help choreograph for the first set of the season. Collaborating with Andy Del Valle for the fight club set. He trained for one full year under Clarence Bitun, Kayla Mallari, and Brandon Abrera who were the artistic directors of CG's previous season.
Now 19 years old he is a dedicated member of CG and is the advisor for Alhambra all female hip-hop. He has also been directing a new set for this year's maxt out competition with Griminals alongside Jessi Hinestrosa and John Tieng.
He wishes to pursue dance as a career and to always grow and inspire through his life.
