i just disagree with the tab slightly...i get that it'd be a pain to keep changing the tuning on your guitar, but is there any reason why this couldn't just be played in standard eadgbe tuning?

Ugghhh...No.Playing higher is actually more ergonomically efficient and proper.Plus it makes playing better.Look at Paul Masvidal,Tosin Abasi,Chris Letchford,Michael Keene,Travis LaVier,and just about every jazz guitarist..Playing lower just to seem cool is dumb cause it only makes it harder to play guitar.

My advice to you to guitarist in the video would be to work on your chops more.Bit too sloppy.7/10

I hadnt been playing guitar for very long in this video, maybe 3-4 months there, and I learned playing sitting down, so I had the strap adjusted to the point where if I was sitting down playing and stood up it would be at the same level. I have learned over time to lower the strap (:
