@Iola09, Who is Arab and who is not Arab? I hope ur idea of Arabs is not the present ppl of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and some of the Saudis... If that's the case then you need to do your history research. Those are not the Arabs more like Europeans mix of Romans n french. However, Arab is a culture not race anymore. Look into the connection btwn Yemen ppl and Somalis then you'll realize who is Arab or not...

This whole religious chaos that has been brought in Somalia is just a way to exploit the people who live there. Those people have known hardships that no man can imagine, hunger has been a fact of live for more than two decades. This why they are willing to fight for a few miserable dollars. This money used to come from warlords, nowadays from wadaads. My point exactly, this "harsh" interpretation of quran and haadiths were developed centuries after the birth of Islam.

how about you keep yours too your self are you trying to deny that anything is going on in that country. Lets see there is a sharia law there that most of the laws have nothing to do with islam if it was so great there then why is everyone moving from there huh? there is only one form of ISALM and if you are saying the forms of harsh is not islam then you cant add or take things away and call it islam.

I never said that Islam didn't originate in the Arab area.
My point was that Islam in Afghanistan is a harsh interpretation and the same goes with the Islam in Saudi Arabia. Yet this harsh form of islam came into existence around the 17th 18th century, the wahabism and such.
You say the crap going on in Somalia, whenever someone muddles up religion and politics then the whole discussion is worthless.

um excuse me no matter how much you want somalis to take the credit for Islam it did originate from Arab area so stop denying it. and um there is only one Islam so how is purer than another.... and with the crap going on in somalia you should be the last to talk about how Islam is there people have corrupted it there.
