Roy Huston a friend and fantastic performer has lived a thousand lives in his 65 years. Today June 28th, 2009 this child of Vaudeville parents who was born in a trunk joins Judy Garland who passed 40 years ago in 1969 and follows Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson to a place where icons live forever.

Roy was filled with endless stories of his life on the road. He drove a hearse from drive-in to drive-in to perform his illusions like the "Man Buried Alive." He was the first to perform illusions in the circus. He starred in some now cult films. He worked on spook shows where a movie would come to life and ghosts would appear! So much more I wish I could have heard first person. So much love, and incredible Jazz drummer, lover of theatre and circus. You will be missed. Today on gay pride I celebrate not my history as a gay man but the life of a straight man whose death marks the 40th anniversary of the stonewall riots and another star born in a trunk. Peace and love.
