This is how I plant my tomatoes using banana peels for potassium, eggshells for calcium and pet or human hair which adds sulfur and trace minerals to the soil.

I started my tomato seedlings using the Praxxus55712 method. I filled plastic cups about 1/4 of the way with potting soil and planted my tomato seeds in there then as they grew I covered them up with more potting soil. The result is a very healthy tomato plant with lots of roots and a nice thick stem :)

Sorry about the wind... I'm in the mid-west and it was particularly windy yesterday.

  • @UContainerGardening You're most welcome my fellow food grower. I try to either recycle, reuse, and repurpose as much as I can. I'm glad you found the video helpful. ;)

  • Thanks for posting... very useful info!

  • @Jenna08848 hehehe Those are snow peas. I'm not sure if they will produce for us because the weather here is nuts. It feels like it just went from winter straight into summer... where the heck is spring? lol. I really like interplanting different things together! I'm growing perennial onions with chamomile (yum TEA!) behind the onions and behind that I will trellis either muskmelons or cukes... or both! I have a digital camera now so i can make videos with it :)

  • @Jenna08848 LOL! Growing food has become a bit of an obsession for me :)
