"Boring econo-box"

The Hybrid driver has had enough and wants a chance to drive the Jetta TDI for a while on this one tank to San Francisco from Seattle Challenge.

  • I am from Europe i have 2003 Mercedes e-class 2.7 liter CDI .. everage milage for diesel is 56Mpg. Here diesel cost 1.64 usd per liter ((6.19USD per galoon):1 US gallon = 3.78 ) but gasoline 1.76Usd per liter ( (6.65USD per galon)).

See advantage of Diesel engines! Also they are more clean right now than gasoline engines and lifetime is 2x longer. Diesel cdi or tdi engine can go easy 1milllion km..

  • Damn my truck will only go 200-250 miles on $75 of gas lol. But it was free so how long would it take for a TDI it pay for itself?

  • I trust that you're a mechanic since you spelled "certified" incorrectly lol.

  • as a vw/toyota certefied asa tech I prefer TDI Jetta

  • thats awesome man.. my dad is deciding between a camery hybrid and a jetta tdi.. im gonna push for the jetta since its gott more torque too
