real applications work well also judo throws on concrete is game over

@tramonp Judo guy looked like a yellow belt, maybe an orange belt, they wear different coloured belts for competition to tell them apart, kind of a moot point as one is in blue, one is in white gi. Any judo guy who gets side control like that and can't submit someone in 3 seconds is a low grade belt

@Machampion100 I am a big fan of Judo myself, however I am curious what you mean by Judo has always won for "centuries". Was it not developed during the late 1800's to early 1900's? Doesn't really seem like we are ready to say centuries. On top of that, isn't BJJ a spin off of Judo just like Judo was a spin off of several other styles of Jujitsu? I think history has shown us the benefits of evolution.

I don't know much about bjj belting, but was that a yellow belt vs. a black belt? maybe an open belt match or something. By the way: people who argue over martial art superiority show their ignorance. "No style is the best style."

This camera guy will never work for ESPN

i like how everyone of other martial arts whines about BJJ being bad or the gracies didnt invent it or whatever. STFU WE BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF YOU GUYS WE DOMINATED OTHER MARTIAL ARTS EVEN COUNT COMA WAS AMAZED WHN HE RETURNED TO BRAZIL BY HELIO AND CARLOS GRACIES CREATED BJJ

What the hell was the guy in the blue gi trying to do at 2:12? Why would you jump and leave your feet against a judoka? That's just asking to get tossed.
-
@Egggbutt all the bjj moves exist in judo thats where they came from, a lot of locks and chokes are not allowed in competition judo but you have to learn them anyways (for belt exams)
-
could you point out a couple examples?
-
@SuperMadklown That is patently, patently false. I do both BJJ and Judo and there are many moves in BJJ that do not exist in Judo.
@BloodofPatriots Gracie family claims ownership of BJJ or is given credit for somewhat changing an exsisting system.... not really, isn't that exactly what Kano did with jujutsu to creat our beloved Judo. Different things work for different people, no need to criticize a system just cause it isn't Judo.

Yet another great example of the superiority of Judo over Bjj. Judo will always win, just as it has for centuries.
