  • @bluesgurugodI can totally understand that this may not be for you. But Pat's music has always been about atmosphere and creating landscapes with his music. Pat has been exploring eastern music from the beginning. This is just a continuation of that exploration. Also, there are a number of stringed instruments with open tuning, the harp, koto, hammer dulcimer, In addition, he usually only plays one song with this guitar during a show, it isn't like he writes entire albums for this instrument.

  • More strings doesn't equal more music. Pat's a hell of a player but this is just Andy Mckee open tuning stuff... atmosphere music that impresses guitar lovers instead of music lovers...

  • a rare harmony of sounds Eastern / Western...magnifique!

  • With that thing, i'm lucky not being the guitar techniche for Pat Metheny

  • Relax Max !

  • allucinante!

  • Hey! It out of tune!

    But, seriously, it's amazing :)

  • I can't say it enough but I do think it very often...

youtube and all the generous people posting here: FABULOUS!

    Something for everyone...

  • Yo dawg, I heard you like guitars.
