I know firsthand what it means to win a fight by KO. I played parts of 3 seasons in the AHL for the Manitoba Moose in the mid 1990s. I was the recipient of a couple KOs and a giver of KOs. I am still into organized hockey in Minnesota. Step onto the ice with me and I'll teach your tough talkin' ass what it feels like to get "dropped." I guarantee I will KO your sorry ass in a few seconds. I can arrange for you to suit up for an opposing team this fall so I can teach you firsthand, tough guy!

Call it what you want. This isn't boxing! It is a knockout in any competition when you win the fight with a shot. Watch this fight again. Boogaard did what all good fighters do- deliver the decisive, winning blow. You don't have to knock someone unconcious to call it a "knockout." If McGratton would've delivered the hard blow at the end, he would've gotten the KO. Check the prescription on your glasses and watch this video again! Boogaard KO'd (or dropped) McGratton. End of story.
