PART 7 of 7.

This is a 7 part, full feature ORBITER 2010-P1 tutorial! We start from the ground at Wideawake International in the XR2 Ravenstar. I will show you how to prepare for launch, take-off, and fly the XR2 to the Moon with a landing on pad 1 at Brighton Beach. We have a crew habitat module loaded in the cargo bay, along with some extra main fuel. We will discard the extra main fuel container before ejecting LEO for the Moon.

  • I started the retro burn when I was just above 180 seconds from base (Base Sync MFD).

  • Good stuff! Thanks for sharing with us.

  • Great tutorial. Very nice touchdown. I've never seen anyone land on the moon just using the outside visuals. I always use that VOR/VTOL MFD, but it looks easier the way you did it. (But I think you have a lot more experience than me in either case, so I'm sure that factors in.)

  • Nice. When I switch to 2010 edition, I must definitely learn how to use TransX. I've been using IMFD with the 2006 edition because I thought it easier to work with - it is more beginner-friendly :-)

  • Very exciting! Thanks for posting. :)

  • nice man!! very smooth keep up
