NDAA 2013: Congress approves domestic propaganda

Propaganda is the transfer of information,ideas or rumors to purposely help or harm a person, and governments use such tactics to manipulate people'sthoughts and opinions. The United States spends approximately $4 billion per yearfor propaganda efforts in countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan, but now a newdefense bill is hoping to increase the budget to implement propaganda inAmerica. Lucy Steigerwald, associate editor for Reason Magazine, joins us withher thoughts on the issue.

Everything is propaganda. Nations, political groups, religions, news networks, etc. work hard to make their beliefs your beliefs because they understand human behavior is determined by what you believe.

Let's see I don't own a TV, or a radio. Whenever an advertisement comes up online I just exit out. I know propaganda and understand it quite well. I've studied North Korean, Chinese and old Soviet propaganda among others. Propaganda doesn't work very well on me at all.
