Jim Mason has resurected a forgotten technology - gasification - and is running his '89 Honda Accord on garbage ... or biomass, if you prefer. Back to the future, baby!

  • Doesn't run on garbage it runs on wood. It's called a downdraft gasifier, and his weird deisng has a lot of flaws. You'd better check the professional victorygasworks channel.

  • I built one of these and it runs great but my wife now weighs 396 pounds from eating enough walnuts to keep us supplied in shells to keep the car running! And that's only enough nuts to power the car to go to the store and buy some more nuts! Just kidding, nice video

  • @KirstenLeahy @KirstenLeahy Methane as little as it seems to be know is in fact the exact same thing we call natural gas, all natural gas is methane we just don't like to use the word methane in industry because it's not very attractive, methane can be made yourself with a methane digester and the resulting gas is the same as natural gas in every way except maybe you won't be able to pressurize it into liquid and therefore it takes up a lot more space maybe that's why it was a bus.

  • People driving down the highway: What the hell is that? It's a CLEAN energy sour-KA-BOOM

  • Could this run on mixed household trash?

  • I read of a couple called Don and Judy Moser who had a methane powered bus they built way back in 1975.....they did demonstrations at unis ect. They lived in Glendale California 525 Davis Ave, to be exact...Other than a story in a Mag I have not found any other info...I must know more about the workings of this bus.....

  • awaesome.

  • very interesting, one of the greatest posts on yt. thanks

  • @GUYrobo2 Check victory gasworks channel, he explains plentifully all the processes.

  • @Rhinoch8 Could you tell us how?

  • @jakeawockeez You are stupid to even disgrace this video at all.
