  • funny that someone who is so brainwashed into a bloodcult that is christianity would call someone else "narrow-minded"

  • So this is George Carlin. I wish I had watched more of his comedy before he died. What a badass

  • badass indeed...

  • Organized religiion is the rot of all evil in the world today. It uses the belief in the divine as an illusion for power and contro over the masses. ALL religions have ridiculous notions and even worse interpretations by many of its followers. The true empowement of religion gives the little guy a sense of belonging to a larger group but intern gives the power away to clergy.

Is there a God or otherwise higher power? If so, it's being and intentions are poorly defined by all religions.

  • I like all of it except for the pandering to women at 3:25, women are just as bad

  • As religious as I am, I think that George Carlin is a very smart man.

The cosmos is everything that exists. You don't praise it. I don't praise anything. Praise, fawn, worship? It sure sounds like it would have one huge ego.

  • @ruinsonic

It’s a joke to say thank the cosmos. It’s mimicking the ridiculousness of saying thank god when you might as well thank the air. It amazes me when people say thank god it’s Friday as well when man made up the calendar. :)

  • @ntechray What's the difference between praising the cosmos and praising God? Both are supposed to just exist and neither of them has courage or really can be affected by anything. What's a person or mind if it can't be effected or think sequentially? It's all really ambiguous.

  • It would seem to me that the sacrifice of Jesus was a case of God playing with a stacked deck. Since Jesus was destined to die for humanity's sins anyway AND he was desitned to rise from the dead AND he was destined to ascend to heaven AND...well...it all ended happily ever after with Jesus in heaven reunited with his dad and the foundation of a new, soon to be perverted religion. Some sacrifice.

  • Thank the cosmos for the truth. You tell them George.
