That day was Luville, outside at Cardinals old stadium at Fairgrounds. Hotter than any desert, deep south type humidity hot. Jerry wore shorts. It doesn't get dark in Luville until about 9:30 so the had this great KY jam after he's gone that went into SOTM pre-drums. Some of this video on DVD with the P'burgh show. Jehovah's had a convention at Freedom Hall next door, it was WIERD! Always a good Wharf Rat in Luville.

I was a Dead Head back in the Late '70's into the '80's, and moved away from listening, but whenever I heard an old tune it reminded me of the days of Dead. Then I heard this soulful tune of Jerry's, and it makes me cry. Was he awesome or what, such a gentle spirit with such musical power. God Bless!
