I'm a huge progressive rock fan, and I *love* this song. Progressive rock is about daring to go as far outside the mainstream as possible, and by that criterion, this song is a huge success. I think it's great that the same band that did Supper's Ready could also do a song like this -- it just goes to show how diverse they were as a band.

i can't deny that Phil Collin's voice was a little better than Peter Gabriel's, but here's the deal: Phil and the other guys criticized Phil Collins for being more an actor or showman rather than a singer. well Phill Collins started as a professional drummer that became a shy but confident singer, years later he became the Dave Gahan of the progressive rock..
