@monkey9111989 Oh, totally. Richest bastard in Hollywood I think. Plus his marketing...that's always key. So I'm sure he could afford good marketing. (With 'Tintin', the TV spots were fine, but I think with the trailers they could've went a little more into who Tintin was.)

@monkey9111989 It did fine. Certainly didn't bomb, but it didn't do great considering how revolutionary the movie is (to me, it should've done as well as 'Avatar' because the animation was that good). But it did FANTASTIC pretty much everywhere else. So it was a box office success overall.
Come to think of it, it's essentially the movie equivalent of football (or soccer as they call it in the US).
