@jasculs Fair enough. Not everything works for everyone. You may be able to get it tighter than us because of your size. I am 295 ish and just can't seem to remove all the space. Now when I use my hip to trap the arm next to the ear its lights out time.

@09Ginster You definitely do not need a strength advantage on your opponent to hit this. I'm 140lbs and not very big and I hit this on everyone.

We were just working this last week both gi and no-gi. When my partner and I were drilling it we found it is nearly impossible to get a really strong necked guy to tap with out the arm trapped next to the neck. It is just too easy to make a bit of space with your chin. When you started you had his arm behind your hip. Why give that up when it makes it a way tighter choke?

@fatguyonthc If done right the "no arm" north south choke is extremely tight. I am 145lbs and I can hit the NS choke without having the arm on any size person. Any many times I can finish it with just one arm. From my experience and in my opinion it's tighter without the arm.
