Shaolin Tiger Boxing set

This wushu student from a school near the temple taught us this form on the road along Shaolin Village. He forgets something in the form so he starts to laugh towards the end. He was a really cool guy! (2004)

Well when your unarmed and some crazy imperial soldier is running at you with 2 broadwords then you cant really run you have to fight or die. Which is why traditional arts dont use gloves and and fight in a ring with a referee with rules and medical officers at side.

Wait. Shaolin martial arts is not a static art. There are traditional arts which came from ancient times and there's contemporary Shaolin kung fu developed by Shaolin masters of this era. That's why we see Shaolin demo team going places to show their arts to the world.

@tigerstrenght Nah. Not criticizing him, he's great! Amazing strength, flexibility, and form. But he's got no raw power or foundation behind his movement. its Wushu, straight up. There's nothing wrong with that. But its not Shaolin Tiger, its essentially the nice version to look at

@teylorleigh Let's use the correct terminology then so that people don't misunderstand, Contemporary Wushu is what is see here. Keep in mind Wushu means Martial Technique. Wu Yi is the traditional , Wu Yi means Martial Art.
