I played Fallout 3 by Bethesda and thoroughly enjoyed it; but now I feel empty and want to go back to my wife and kids (Fallout 1 and 2); adjust it for inflation what you get is still marketing we all paid for when we bought our $50 copies, whereas the engine was canned and ready to go and had nothing "fallout" about it

i accually had more fun with fallout 3, but ive played it soooo much i prefer fallout 2 now.

You know, it is possible to do a realistic and Fallout style game in first person. I'm not saying Bethesda did, but it is possible. Isometric is nice, but that's mostly because as gamers we have never had a first person RPG that is even -remotely- realistic.

These games all tend to have enormously scaled down worlds. It is ironic to me that Bethesda use such small game worlds now, considering they developed Daggerfall - you'd think they could find a happy medium with the world size.

@JackOfJudges i know, i played fo3 and it got me into the fallout series, and fallout 1 was awsome and funny as hell. i like fo3 and fo:nv, but i would like to have played the full van buran! (original fo3 before bethesda took over)

Sucks that van buren aka fallout 3 never came to fruition by the original team but I think you are all going a little bit too hard on bethesda's fallout 3. It's a pretty awesome game, sure the dialogue isn't as engaging and funny as the first two but it isn't horrible by any means. also bethesda gets kudos for working with obsidian and letting them develop fallout new vegas.

I bet, if Fallout 3 had less copies sold, you'd say it's a bad game. Destroyed, lifeless people like you ruin the gamer community. Just do yourself a favor and get a life.
