This is some of what I have learned over the years in how to wield a dangerous paint brush and all the little tricks that some professional painters use.

  • I didn't realize professional painters were illiterate. Nice spelling job on the title.

  • @BeetleSales THAT IS HOW THEY SPELL IT IN EUROPE, WHERE I TOOK AVDANCED TRAINING, RETARD...

  • Up here in Canada, our paint store sold there last pail of oil primer, and they're not ordering anymore. I think they are trying to switch completely over the latex products.

However they do have two latex primers that seal bare wood really well. Aqualock and Bullseye.

  • @BurntDead I do not trust any latex primer for bare wood. I have used oil for wood fences with excellent results. Water base primers last a couple of winters , then peal off. Oil and water do not mix and I have found that Oil Primer sheds water off paint ,100 times better than water based. But I have never tried the two you mentioned. Everyone is going latex or low VOC tree hugger paint, that I just think wont last very long, buts that just me. RH DSD
