A Twellow Strategy for Twitter is one component of Social Media Triangulation the Power-of-4 © Lance Scoular, The Savvy Navigator, leveraging the power of Facebook. LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.

Twellow is an application for Twitter, where Twitter profiles are classified either directly from the Twitter Bio on the Twitter Profile or by the user entering themselves into that classification.
Twellow ranks each Twitter profile in each Twellow classification according to the current number of followers that profile has acquired. In a similar fashion to Google ranking on Google searches, top ranking in any particular classification in Twellow is determined by having the highest number of followers compared to all other Twitter profiles within that classification.

In the example used in this video, B2bnetworking at the time of the video, had only been registered with Twitter for a few days. Also, it had only been active with tweeting and following other Twitter users for just over 24 hours. So even with a following gained in that time, both follow backs and organic followers generated by tweets and retweets, of 158, B2bnetworking was able to achieve ranking on page one of eight categories, which means that for those 8 pages they ranked in the top 20.

This enhaces their chances of being followed by people wanting to follow people ranking highly in those classifications. To track the progress of B2bnetworking check out both http://twitter.com/B2bnetworking at Twitter and http://www.twellow.com/user/B2bnetworking at Twellow.
