Harry Ord is quite possibly the most underrated a-char of the Gundam franchise, more than likely because the series he originates from was looked down upon itself. I'll admit, Turn-A Gundam is indeed wacky, and very strange, but that was the intention of the series, to be different than any of the Gundam series before it. Not to mention, the series takes place thousands of years after the events of 0079, so who knows what the future mecha looked like and how they evolved to have mustaches.

---
Scene Setup (spoilers):
Midgard has just attempted to assassinate the queen of the moon, Dianna Soriel, firing the mega beam cannon on his cruiser. Harry Ord, the leader of Queen Dianna's Royal Guards manages to protect his ruler by using the i-field on his Gold-Type SUMO. Only moments after, the Turn-A Gundam appears, and for the first time in the series, unleashes a minuscule fraction of it's ultimate ability, the Moonlight Butterfly, with Midgard realizing just how powerful of a beast he's awakened.
---

Turn-A Gundam is without a doubt, underappreciated and overlooked just because it's different from the series that aired before. But even if it's different, Turn-A Gundam is still one of the better ones of the franchise and hopefully more people will give it a chance in the future.

Also, LOL typos xD

  • Well if he does have "A" law, it is that you never speak of Diana's rear end.

  • Harry Ord does not have laws...

    He is the law!

  • @EATSFALCONPUNCH So true! :D

  • @Akamisago Actually, you should never speak of Queen Diana's ass so casually.

  • @MoonlightButterfly92

Me too! But you could say that about all of the episodes! :) Turn A Gundam was just very well animated!

  • @EATSFALCONPUNCH Yeah, I remember watching this particular episode and being very much WOWED by the great animation! n_n

  • @Myuutantobasuta

no sirree, late in the series

  • this has gotta be from the movies, right?

  • the animation is soo good!

  • @SpiritsRise To each their own, then. Personally it seems more of the same, though... not as well polished.

  • @seventhcyborg SEED was praised for its mech designs, it was one of the only positives to come out of the Cosmic Era's anime

  • I actually like the unique spin on the designs Syd Mead did. Not a fan of the Turn A's moustache, and you can argue the Turn X's design needs some pushing to look like more than an upgraded Zaku-line suit, but they're nowhere near as bad as people make them out to be.

Better than some of the overdesigned crap we've seen in SEED.
