He was talking about the CEO of AIG and Chairman of the Board; Edward Liddy. He got the position this past September. Supposedly he's one of the good guys, but says he can't do anything about the bonuses because the contracts were cut before he came on board. Legally his hands are bound and that's what Rep. Bachus was trying to get across. That they should not blindly blame Liddy for this and seek to sack him. Instead, he wants to sort this out, but not cripple the new management.
