The stock Fender Nocaster Tele is direct into the amp, no pedals were used. The voice mic picks up the ambient room sound and a small room reverb was added in post production to replicate a more accurate room sound since no one listens to a speaker 1 inch off the grill cloth which is where the mic is located.

What makes this amp preferable to say, a Victoria 20112? Just asking..

@LarryRickenbacker Victoria makes incredible amps, I loved my Double Deluxe amp for years but never played their 20112..... Inspiring tone is such a personal and subjective search but I have a feeling both makers offer great versions of the classic 5E3 circuit but it's best to play them both and see what you dig.

Man’Oooh Man! Amp sounds absolutely incredible. Might be one of the meanest Tweed Deluxe’s I’ve heard. I can imagine though that any pickups other then single coils would sound pretty dark thru that amp. Even P90’s seems like they'd sound dark. But he’s right, the amp does sound mature. Sounds broken in, which is always nice. Sounds loud! I know it’s absolutely cranked towards the end, but it's actually “SOUNDS LOOUUD! You can very distinctly hear it breaking up. Wonderful!
