  • This video was created for and by New York Birds, which has no connection to the sanctuary birds filmed. All parrots shown are birds that were given up by their owners, because they are too loud, destructive and demanding for most people to ever bear. Unfortunately, more and more birds will continue to be given up, and already, most sanctuaries are full to bursting.

  • I never seen four cockatoos dancing at the same time:D. I hope their doing well.

  • These birds are lucky. They are at a sanctuary. Cockatoos are bright wonderful parrots--but they are loud, need a great deal of attention to be happy, are very destructive with their beaks, produce a powder that can trigger human allergies--to name a few of the negatives. Many people buy them as babies, and cannot wait to re-home them as adults. Most of the birds in this video once lived in homes. Their relationship with humans didn't work out. There are thousands more in need of sanctuary.

  • This is amazing! I almost got up and danced myself!
