More over Real Housewives here comes The Drag Queens of DC

WASHINGTON, DC, January 4, 2011-- "Drag City DC: Hair and Paint Make a Man What He Ain't"©, the newest reality show to hit the web will be taping its first episode this Friday, January 7, 2011at Town Dance Boutique located at 2009 8th St., NW, Washington, DC 20001. This webisode will follow local drag queens as they prepare and transform before they hit the stage.

Drag City DC will take on a 30 minute format and unlike RuPaul's Drag Race, will forego the competition format and focus on the art of Female Impersonation, with great behind the scenes footage. The web series will include story lines depicting not only what it's like to be gay in the G.L.B.T. Community, but also to be a Drag Queen/Entertainer in the sub-culture.
The amazing cast of Drag City DC includes the incomparable Shi-Queeta-Lee "The Diva of Town", Tyria Iman, Raquel Savage, Chanel Devereaux, LaCountress Farrington and the beautiful Epiphany Bloomingdale. Created and executively produced by Jerry Van Hook and Cheryl M. Brown, who also serves as the series' supervising director and editor, this show is being produced by Nu Daze Studios as one of its newest projects.
Says Shi-Queeta-Lee, one of the stars of the cast, "Along with the performance aspect of the show we would also like to give insight into the everyday life of a drag queen. I want to show their goals & hardships and to really take the viewer on an adventure, following the Queens and their dreams. As Drag Queens we celebrate life through Diversity and Entertainment, and really isn't that what America needs right now?
