S&B Gerbil's Palace - Full Tour 60 gal gerbil home hand built

A full tour of the objects built by us for Smokey & Butters. Everything was built with wood that was gathered and treated with lots of heat beforehand. Smokey & Butters are 8 months old and have had this setup for about 6 months. They immediatly made a nest in the treehouse and have stuck there ever since.

Use imagination, This was all brainstormed on the go, Originally I wanted a treehouse paradise, After treehouse was added everything else was added to match

Wow! what an amazing set up yu have there! Id love to have one like that, but i know my Cookies too well and she'd tear/chew/move everything! hehe. she never leaves anything alone in her cage. I have to use heavy rocks to keep her from flipping her wheel. more than once woke up to find her trapped under it hehe. she's chewed up 3 of her houses and the ltttle ceramic one i keep finding upside down lol! she's quite the card.

Still, what a paradise!

Can the gerbils get hurt if they fall? I have a 55 gal. and I want to do something like that.Also what did you use to secure the wood? If the gerbils chew the glue (Or whatever you used) Isnt it a hazard?
