i don't seem to recall germany designing, owning and releasing the veyron exclusively, on it's own. europe has such a unified mind-set; (we, we, always WE) always comparing itself as a whole to america by itself. america's focus left the auto industry a long while back anyway. that;s why it's become the economic backbone of the world; you'd be ignorant to argue.

Yeah, the Veyron's engine is indeed unique and powerful, but in terms of cost-effectiveness and simplicity, I think YOU'RE missing the point. Talking about V8 engines, did you know that some European cars (Aston Martin, Jaguar) use modified Ford V8s because it is cost effective(buying US cars?). It's what makes more sense when it comes to building real supercars that matter. Oh yeah, stop being a sore loser about the Veyron being beaten by 2mph.
