@minnescanada > Hooray for our side. I will bring my sleeping bag and park at best buy. We only had 6 channels to choose from then. Everything today is so watered down, you spend half your time on the digital guide.

@hubciti Just announced now, coming to DVD , 1st season out in early September.

Harry O was a great, great series, particularly in the second (and regretfully last) season when Anthony Zerbe was Harry's, um, acerbic police contact. The chosen promo was of one of the show's best episodes. Susan Strasberg played the classic good- woman-loved-a-BAD-man in a deliciously soulful performance and the plot was intricately tricky enough to even include a cameo from Ernie Kovacs' widow Edie Adams!! I think this one show won an Edgar Award for best TV mystery episode.

Nice job putting these together.

@hubciti Theres a "DVD bootlegger" selling 50 episodes on "ioffer", (probably TV-aired, taped & transferred versions) on DVD, but I'd VERY much prefer the real thing. Hopefully, they will appear on DVD one day, or if the copyright holder cant "see their way through" releasing them on DVD, then maybe they will appear as a "torrent", recorded on HD from some "crime show channel"
Season 3 of Kojak just came out on DVD in Europe.. so I'll soak a bit in that, before I buy any VHS-bootleg stuff!

Oh, this brings it back!--thank you!! Let's see, now... love (still) the Kojak and Magician themes, love (still) the Kojak, Police Story and Harry O series. Fond as I was of Bill Bixby (my personal fave of his: The Courtship of Eddie's Father, both the series and its sprightly Nilsson theme) I never quite got into The Magician tv show. And by the time of Barnaby Jones I knew too damn much about Buddy Ebsen to be able to watch anything else he had to offer. Awful man. Thanks for posting, though!
Now the Question: Where to find Police Story on DVD ?
A Cop show ahead of it's time.

I agree, it was Joseph Waumbaugh who did the series and he was way ahead of his time. I've looked for the DVD's as well, but haven't seen them yet. :-(

They never left any doubt about who produced the stuff, huh? Originally it was "A Quinn Martin Production" but eventually just became QM. LOL

You know you were in for some serious entertainment when you watched a QM production.

I agree, that most of their stuff was pretty good and you really looked for to see it, hanoc.
