The Japanese artist Makoto Azuma gives the traditional art plants in his country a new dimension, beyond Ikebana. Spectacular and highly aesthetically Azuma arranged his "botanical sculptures" as alienated artistic installations, such as a bonsai tree, which is freezes into an ice block or floating in light blue water. Azumas sculptures were exhibited in 2008 in NRW Forum Düsseldorf.
