  • I just loved this! I need you to tell me how you record those clips! HOW?!

  • I own ET on DVD and I used a DVD ripper to extract the scenes onto my computer. Then I used Windows Movie Maker to edit it together.

  • Punctuation - they are = they're. You forgot the apostrophe.

I liked the bit with the heart beat where ET shuffles forward quickly.

  • Yeah if I had a redo I would have thought of another way to word it so that I could avoid contractions. I'm glad you liked the shuffling scene- some people thought I should have removed it, but I fought to keep it in.

  • This is pretty good, but you should have not used the scene where E.T. and Elliott meet in the corn field, actually showing the alien in the trailer kinda takes away it's scare appeal in the theater. Especially with E.T. looking as scared as Elliott was. Music might be a little too much for the tone, I probably would've have used sounds from the first parts of the actual movie. Overral, this was well done though.

  • @CaptainConnorsaurus Also the original version of ET is on dvd. I bought it a year ago on amazon right after i posted that comment which i just deleted just now. The 2 disc limited collector's edition dvd which was released on october 22 2002 has the original 1982 version on the second disc. believe me i would know. like i said i own this set. it contains lots of bonus features as well along with the 2002 release on the first disc which i hate. i only watch the original.

  • @CaptainConnorsaurus DVD's were invented by Philips, Sony, Toshiba, and Time Warner in 1995. and the first dvd's were released in 1996. i don't know the name of the very first dvd that was released but i do know that Twister was released on dvd on March 26, 1997. dvd's weren't that popular in the 90's because the vhs format was still around and people clung on to it until it disappeared in the new millenium when they were forced to rent and buy dvd's. this is when dvd's became popular.

  • @henf5671 DVD's weren't created until like 2000. You won't find the original on DVD, just VHS. Which i happen to own! :D

  • aliens are real actually. do some re-search :)

  • I really don't think you can unless you get it vintage. Try eBay.

  • this scene (orignal 1982 version) used to scare me when i was a kid. this version definitely doesn't scare me at all. if anything its stupid because of the stupid CG ET.

  • i had nightmares too! haha

  • Dude, i had dreams where I would sit in my room, and my door would be cracked, he would run by... Then i would walk down a long hallway, and I would see him running at me from a distance and couldnt get away. then he would just pick me up and run with me... SCARY!

I figured the way i would kill him. His neck would shoot up and be long, and i would take a bat and hit him right in the middle, and his neck would collapse.....

yeah I've thought about it for a while....
