Most amazing to me is the choice of the "back story": Academics and others knew that Amazon deforestation would be an issue, yet nothing substantial happened.

Welcome to 2009, same social issues as 1987, except more so.

I find it amazing to see how much of this was conceptualized twenty years ago and how much of it was realized and made commonplace, today: laptops, filesharing, mash-ups, highspeed video communications, etc...

So, what will tech look like in ANOTHER 20 years?

I love these concept videos. Compare this one to the Sun's Starfire concept video. That one was far less futuristic and seemed feasible given 20 or even 10 years.
The problem in this one is too much assumption of advances in AI. It's too much like the Star Trek computer and seems to be aware of everything that's going on. I like to believe we'll get there one day, but looking at the last 50 years progress (or lack) it does seem pretty hopeless.

Actually, there are jobs similar to what you are talking about. This is just like 118, only the Guy would have to be 24/7 there for you.

Imagine having to search for porn by asking some bow tie guy to get it for you.
