San Bernardino County Fire Code 3 - Video 1 of 5

Sunday July 31, 2011 around noon.

California I-15 freeway about 10 miles west of the Nevada State line.

So, here I was traveling from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and I find myself stuck in heavy traffic. I get off at Bailey road and thankfully I had my camera with me as I got a couple good videos out of 90 minutes of waiting time. The I-15 was struck by a heavy rain storm before I arrived and because of this several vehicle accidents occurred in both the north and southbound lanes. Now the side with all the heavy traffic is the northbound lanes going towards Las Vegas, the first of several accidents is just north of the Bailey Road interchange.

If anybody has any additional info about this day please add a comment. Numerous emergency vehicles were on scene and this is a VERY rural area so where did they all come from? I am very curious about the helicopter, it's possibly Military so if anybody knows more about it please let me know.

Oh yea, the southbound lanes of the I-15 coming out of las Vegas was a good 25 miles of bumper to bumper traffic. This was a Sunday and everybody was going back home after a little Vegas vacation. I sure am glad I wasn't stuck with them as i am sure that was a nightmare for much of the day!
