for all of you who love this song check out the jamaican rock steady version.Punch up THE UNIQUES GYPSY WOMAN. It is sung by the great jamaican singer Slim Smith. And you know what? It cuts the Impressions version. Dont get me wrong. The Impressions deservedly had a big hit and its really great. But the Uniques' version is out of this world. Its yearning quality is almost palpable and the singing is so agonizingly beautiful its almost impossible to describe. What a amazing singer Slim Smith is.
