  • Bernie Sanders, and now Al Franken, are the only hope for America.

I love this man. He speaks the truth.

  • no one ever said it was "free" they said it was guaranteed. there's a difference. our current system is nothing more than segregation of the RICH from the POOR.

The current system is UNSUSTAINABLE, we cannot afford the way insurance is done today. all the money goes to trying to deny you care. to an insurance corporation you are nothing but a fraction of a percent, your very life is a fraction of a percent of their daily profits, and they will happily drop you to save it!

  • homeboy, it ain't "free" if our taxes pay for it

  • sure, they should be able to charge whatever they want and provide whatever services they want. Just as consumers should be able to shop around and select the insurance that fits their needs.

Just as you can choose what food to eat, you can choose what medicine and tests to take. If your car breaks down (against your will), the taxpayers should not have to pay to fix your car.

  • So then you are in favor of insurance companies charging whatever they want and setting any standards they want? So again, it's a case of favoring business over the American people. Also, this summer no one is talking about free health care, and bernie sanders is not either. The other thing is the flaw in your "free ice cream" argument. I can choose which food I want to eat, I can choose which clothes I can wear, I can't choose what type of cancer to get, or what type heart condition, etc.

  • Insurance companies should be made to honor their contracts, just like any other business or individual. And they should be able to enter into contracts according to their best interests, just like any business or individual. Its called basic freedom. Clear?

  • AHA!! I understand now.....you feel that it is a right for a private insurance company to deny health care rights to individuals as they see fit....I gotchya now....but humans should not have basic rights....only private businesses and corporations...crystal clear now.
